Heritage Hug

Heritage Hug

Heritage Hug is a French brand founded by Andra, mother of three. She used reusable cloth diapers for her children from the beginning. When the shelves with disposable diapers became empty in 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, she decided to work on making reusable diapers mainstream. She noticed a lack of absorbent diapers, made of materials that are as natural as possible. Most diapers were made of bamboo viscose, a material that is quite harmful to the environment in the production process.

Andra decided to make diapers with as little environmental impact as possible. She chose the materials organic cotton, organic hemp (very rare) and Tencel. Every decision she makes is made with sustainability in mind, but without compromising practicality, aesthetics and comfort.

Heritage Hug has the products produced in China by two manufacturers that are Sedex and BSCI certified. This means that all steps in the chain are checked for ethical business practices. This includes fair wages, reasonable working hours, good working conditions and a safe working environment. An attempt is being made to bring production (partly) to Europe.

The products have the OEKO-TEX quality mark and GOTS certification. In addition, Heritage Hug donates 10% to charities.
